In 2014 I was diagnosed with a level 2 melanoma on my back. It was a shock to me and my family and friends. I was very lucky to have caught it in its very early stages, had the mole removed and a large section around it was also removed to ensure complete clearance of cancerous cells. Since then I have been given the all clear but continue to have regular mole screens each year and also be extra careful with sun protection.
I am taking part in the 8km run on Sunday March 4 with my friend Amy Handley to help raise awareness of melanoma and to also support Amy's foundation 'Mum's Wish'. Amy sadly lost her mum to Metastatic Melanoma in 2016. I have created my very own fundraising page for Melanoma March and would greatly appreciate it if you could support us.
Through here you can easily support our efforts by making a secure donation. I would also really appreciate it if you could share my page or comment so more people know about it.
