Hi all, as you know we’ve been battling Melanoma for almost a year now. It’s spread twice unfortunately and I’ve had all my lymph nodes removed in my left arm now to try and stop it’s spread.
Luckily I’ve been accepted onto a medical trial of two new immunotherapy drugs to try and mop up any other cancer cells. The trial is to determine the effectiveness and dosage of the treatment and I’m one of about a 1000 on it globally. I started on them mid January and I’m back at Peter McCallum cancer hospital every two weeks for a top up for the next 12 months. Cross fingers it all works and the side effects are manageable- so far I’ve just been a little tired.
This is not the journey I thought I’d be on at the age of 40 but these are the cards I’ve been dealt. I’m extremely lucky to have received all the support and help I have from family and friends and my work team at EY. And I am constantly amazed at the love of my wife who has helped me while bringing up a 4 month old baby at all hours of the night and our other two darling children.
Please help to support Melonoma research and prevent this nasty disease impacting other families by sponsoring my family’s March for Melanoma - see the link below.
And please get your moles checked... Melanoma can grow 1.2 mm per month and is the deadliest and most common cancer for those under 39.
I have decided to make a difference by creating my very own fundraising page for Melanoma March. Through here you can easily support my efforts by making a secure donation. I would also really appreciate it if you could share my page or comment so more people know about it.

Thanks all for your support and help throughout our journey.
